Submissions
We are a small regional press that publishes 1-5 non-fiction titles per
year. We look for unique non-fiction books that can be marketed to an outdoor-oriented audience.
100% of the submissions
we receive are from unagented writers while 75%are from first-time authors.
We try to respond within 1-3 months to submissions. We prefer manuscripts
over proposals. and publish 6-18 months after acceptance of a manuscript.
Please send your
proposal package with:
- A self-addressed
stamped envelope
- Outline
- 2-3 sample chapters
- Author biography
and photo
- Marketing and publicity
plans
- Analysis of competitive
titles
- All non-fiction
submissions should include sample of photography and/or other art work;
send photocopies or inkjet printouts. No originals, please!
We also want to know
what promotional opportunities you, as the author, bring to the project.
Marketing is incredibly important and you, the author, must have the energy
to promote your book once published.
Unsolicited manuscripts
without a self-addressed stamped envelope will not be returned. We do
not respond to email queries. All correspondence must be sent via old-fashioned snail mail.
