Author Andy Zdon, a certified professional geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of hydrogeology and geology. He has participated in a variety of regional and site-specific hydrogeology and engineering geology projects throughout the southwestern United States, New Zealand and Peru. Andy is recognized as an expert in the area of numerical groundwater modeling and has been an instructor at California State University, Los Angeles in Groundwater Models and Management. Among his specialties in numerical groundwater modeling are: finite element and finite difference modeling of groundwater flow and groundwater / surface water interactions, contaminant transport, and dual-phase flow. Andy has also provided expert witness testimony regarding hydrogeologic conditions and activities including groundwater modeling. Andy has received certificates of commendation by the California State Board for Geologists and Geophysicists for his assistance to the Board as a subject matter expert.
Andy Zdon is a registered professional geologist, engineering geologist, hydrogeologist, and environmental assessor in California. He is a registered geologist in the state of Arizona and a member of the Nevada Water Resources Association. Andy Zdon is the desert expert.
